I’m Carly, the heart behind Holistic Counselling to Liberate. As a single mother to two beautiful girls, I understand the complexities of life, the weight of responsibility, and the deep need for support and connection. My journey has been shaped by 15 years in public health and mental health, working alongside individuals navigating trauma, stress, and personal transformation.

One of the core beliefs that shapes my work is that the body holds deep wisdom, yet so many of us have been conditioned—through society, stress, and survival—to disconnect from that wisdom. This isn’t our fault; it’s how we’ve learned to cope. But healing becomes possible when we gently rebuild that connection, learning to listen to our bodies with curiosity and care. Somatic practices—breath, movement, stillness—help us regulate, release, and restore, not just in the mind, but in the body where so much of our experience is held.
Currently studying psychology, I am deeply passionate about decolonizing therapy and spiritual practices—ensuring that healing work is ethical, culturally respectful, and does no harm. My approach is holistic, community-centered, and rooted in the belief that you are not defined by what has happened to you.Instead, healing comes from taking responsibility for your own life, with the right support and care.
I honor the power of community in the healing process and believe that self-compassion, rather than shame, is the most effective tool for change. Everything in moderation, balance in all things. My work is about liberation—helping you reconnect with yourself, reclaim your power, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
I have dedicated my life to supporting others on their healing journey, and I would be honored to walk alongside you.
Let’s build Community. Connection. Care.—together.
